Welcome to Fun Friday’s Program
A Place For Everyone is providing a specific curriculum based programs for children of all ages. This 3 hours will be jammed pack with fun and active play. Each week will be a focus on a different theme. Although each week will be a different focus, participants will look forward to some craft time, some physical movement time and an interactive and educational program on the theme for that day. Participants will also be provided with a snack and cool off in the pool at the end of the morning. You will find the diverse and nature based curriculum below.

Fun Friday Calendar
June 18th Nature Art
Participants will work with nature and art. Kids will enjoy working with their hands making beautiful works of art from nature. A naturalist from Mt. Rainer will come and work with the children describing how to work with nature and all its wonder to create beautiful works of art. The kids will leave with their own work of art.
June 25 Wild Things
Participants will learn about local animal species. They will use their knowledge to create craft projects and enjoy a naturalist show from Mt Rainer Nature Center. The naturalist will bring several live animals to introduce, they will identify the different characteristics of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians and learn about local animal species.
July 2 Animal Characteristics
Participants will learn the different characteristics of animals through craft projects. Participants will participant in a programs sponsored by Mt. Rainer Nature Center, a naturalist will come and show different species with different characteristics. Participants will be able to interact with the animals and learn how different animals live and what characteristics help them survive.
July 9 Clay Creations
Participants will become immersed in clay for a day. From the creation of clay, where clay comes from to the making of basic crafts and everyday objects. This will be a day for those kids who like to get their hands dirty.
July 16 Five Senses
Participants will use their senses to meet animals and learn in a child-friendly way to touch and enjoy nature. They will identify the 5 senses and the related body parts, and classify objects based on sensory information to include color, texture, size, sound, taste, or shape. This will be done through the help of naturalist and craft projects and outdoor activities.
July 23 Creative Nature Movement
Participants will enjoy a day of nature movement. Through the use of dance and craft the world and it’s movements will be the focus. Winds, rain, thunder and fog are all captivating subjects for youth and these subjects will be explored in bodily movement and craft.
July 30 Nature Art
Participants will work with nature and art. Kids will enjoy working with their hands making beautiful works of art from nature. A naturalist from Mt.
